Tata Nexon Dark Edition Interior and Exterior

The Dark edition is expected to feature the striking Oberon Black exterior shade, a hallmark of Tata’s design language seen in the Harrier and Safari Dark editions. Complementing the exterior are blacked-out alloy wheels, creating a cohesive and stealthy aesthetic. Inside, the Nexon Dark edition promises an immersive experience with an all-black dashboard and plush black leatherette seat upholstery.

Unchanged Features

While the Dark edition enhances the Nexon’s visual appeal, no compromises are expected on its feature-rich offerings. The regular Nexon boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, automatic AC, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and paddle shifters. Safety is paramount, with six airbags, electronic stability control, TPMS, and a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring.

Powertrain Options

The Tata Nexon offers two potent powertrains: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 120 PS and 170 Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 PS and 260 Nm. The Dark edition variants for the petrol engine will be equipped with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT, and a 7-speed DCT. Meanwhile, the diesel variants will feature a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed AMT.

Expected Price and Rivals

The Dark edition is anticipated to carry a premium of around Rs 30,000 over the corresponding regular variants, offering enthusiasts a chance to own a distinctive variant. Priced competitively between Rs 8.15 lakh and Rs 15.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Nexon Dark edition will go head-to-head with rivals such as the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
