The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, a made-in-India compact SUV, has made its debut in the Japanese market, offering a unique set of features not available in other regions. This includes the introduction of Suzuki’s AllGrip Select AWD technology and an array of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The Japan-spec Fronx represents a significant evolution of the model, tailored to meet the demands of the Japanese market.  
The Made-in-India Maruti Suzuki Fronx AWD, specially designed for the Japanese market, stands out with its 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol engine. Unlike the Indian version, which only comes with front-wheel drive, the Japan-spec Fronx includes the AllGrip Select AWD system, making it a versatile option for various driving conditions.

  • Engine: 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol with mild hybrid technology
  • Transmission: Available in five-speed manual and six-speed automatic with paddle shifters

The AWD Maruti Suzuki Fronx is equipped with Suzuki’s mid-level AllGrip Select technology, providing drivers with four selectable driving modes. These features make the Japan-bound Fronx a more luxurious and technologically advanced version compared to its Indian counterpart.  

AWD Japan-Spec Fronx Launch, Booking and delivery 

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx AWD has already seen a strong market response in Japan, with over 700 bookings prior to its official launch on October 16. The initial shipment of 1,600 units from India marks the beginning of what is expected to be a successful run in the Japanese market. Deliveries expected to start in the second half of October
