Xiaomi SU7 Exterior Design
The styling of the Xiaomi SU7 sedan was developed in-house under the leadership of Xiaomi’s head of design, Sawyer Li. Li has previously contributed to the design of notable cars such as the BMW iX and Circular Vision Concept during his tenure at BMW. The SU7’s design is sleek and aerodynamic, resembling high-end models like the Porsche Taycan and the BYD Seal. The car boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.195, thanks to its smooth lines and teardrop LED headlights. The connected taillights and active rear wing further enhance its futuristic appearance.

Inside, the Xiaomi SU7 offers a minimalistic and luxurious layout. A large 16.1-inch touchscreen dominates the dashboard, accompanied by a digital driver’s display and a panoramic glass roof. The vehicle also includes a 56-inch head-up display (HUD) and a 25-speaker music system, ensuring a premium driving experience. The rotating dashboard adds a unique touch to the interior aesthetics.
Xiaomi SU7 Powertrain and Range
The Xiaomi SU7 is available in China with three different battery pack options:
- 73.6 kWh unit: Offers up to 700 km range and rear-wheel drive (RWD).
- 94.3 kWh unit: Provides up to 830 km range, also with RWD.
- 101 kWh battery: Powers the two electric motors in the SU7 Max trim with all-wheel drive (AWD), offering a range of 800 km.
The range-topping SU7 Max variant delivers an impressive 673 hp and 838 Nm of peak torque, achieving a 0-100 kph time of just 2.78 seconds. Both RWD trims produce 299 hp and 400 Nm torque, while the top-spec SU7 Max reaches a top speed of 265 kph.
Xiaomi SU7 India Launch and Pricing
As of now, Xiaomi has not confirmed the launch of the SU7 electric sedan in India. However, its showcase at a tech expo hints at the company’s interest in the Indian EV market. The pricing for the Xiaomi SU7 starts from ¥215,900 (approximately Rs 24.79 lakh) for the entry-level variant, ¥245,900 (around Rs 28.23 lakh) for the mid-level SU7 Pro, and ¥299,900 (about Rs 34.42 lakh) for the range-topping SU7 Max.
The Xiaomi SU7 will compete with premium electric sedans like the Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model 3, Hyundai Ioniq 6, BYD Seal, BMW iX, and the Mercedes EQE. Its combination of performance, range, and luxury features positions it strongly in the growing EV segment.
