Triumph has introduced the all-new Daytona 660 in India, priced at ₹9.72 lakh (ex-showroom). As the most powerful motorcycle in Triumph’s 660cc range, the Daytona 660 is a significant addition to the brand’s lineup. This model is set to compete with other mid-range sportbikes like the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Aprilia RS 660.

The BYD e6 facelift introduces several aesthetic upgrades that modernize the vehicle’s appearance. The front of the e6 now features full-LED headlamps with a revised daytime running lamp (DRL) signature, giving the vehicle a sleek and contemporary look. The redesigned front and rear bumpers have been enhanced with more contoured air vents and chrome accents, contributing to a sportier and more dynamic stance. Additionally, the rear of the e6 is fitted with larger wraparound tail-lamps that boast new LED detailing, further enhancing the vehicle’s visibility and overall design appeal.

The Triumph Daytona 660 is equipped with a 660cc inline three-cylinder engine, which it shares with the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. However, the Daytona 660’s engine is tuned for maximum performance, producing 95 HP at 11,250 RPM and 69 Nm of torque at 8,250 RPM. This tuning gives the Daytona 660 a notable edge over its naked and adventure counterparts, with an increase of 14 HP and 5 Nm in power and torque, respectively.  

BYD e6 Facelift Powertrain

The  e6 facelift is expected to continue offering the robust 71.8kWh battery pack currently available in India, with several enhancements. The facelifted model is anticipated to deliver an increased power output of 204hp, a significant improvement from the current 95hp, along with a torque of 310Nm. This increase in power ensures a more dynamic driving experience. Additionally, the range of the facelifted e6 has been slightly extended to 530km on a single charge, up from the previous 522km, allowing for longer drives with fewer charging stops. In Indonesia, the e6 facelift is available with an additional 55.4kWh battery option, but it remains uncertain whether this variant will be offered in India.

What Makes the BYD e6 Facelift Stand Out?

The e6 facelift is expected to offer a range of high-end features that elevate the driving experience. Among the anticipated features is a panoramic sunroof, which may be introduced in the Indian variant, providing a more open and airy feel to the cabin. The facelift is also likely to include advanced safety features such as a 360-degree camera, cruise control, and ventilated front seats, which enhance both safety and comfort. Additionally, automatic climate control is expected to be part of the package, ensuring that the cabin remains at a comfortable temperature regardless of external weather conditions.    
As an electric MPV, the BYD e6 faces minimal direct competition in the Indian market. The current model is priced at Rs 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelifted version is expected to come with a slight price increase, reflecting the extensive updates and additional features it offers. With its combination of a powerful battery, extended range, and premium features, the BYD e6 facelift is set to solidify its position as a leading choice in the Indian EV market.
