Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Launched at Rs 16.50 Lakh in India
Ducati has officially launched the Hypermotard 698 Mono in India, priced at Rs 16.50 lakh. This new model, imported directly from Italy, carries a higher price tag than its larger sibling, the Hypermotard 950 RVE, due to its Completely Built Unit (CBU) status.
The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono costs Rs 50,000 more than the Hypermotard 950 RVE, which is already available in the Indian market. Bookings for the Hypermotard 698 Mono are now open, with deliveries expected to commence by the end of July.
Ducati’s Single-Cylinder Revival
The Hypermotard 698 Mono marks Ducati’s return to single-cylinder motorcycles after nearly four decades. Historically, Ducati produced single-cylinder engines from the 1950s to the 1970s. This new model is powered by a 659cc single-cylinder engine, generating 77.5hp at 9,750rpm and 63Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.
In comparison, the Hypermotard 950 RVE features a 937cc L-twin engine, producing 114hp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of torque at 7,250rpm. Despite the difference in engine configurations and capacities, both models share a similar design language and supermoto styling, embodying the quintessential Ducati aesthetics.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is designed with aggressive supermoto styling, similar to its larger counterpart, the Hypermotard 950 RVE. Key design elements include:
