Hyundai’s New Crossover to Challenge Fronx & Taisor

Hyundai's New Bayon Crossover
Hyundai is gearing up to introduce an all-new crossover to the Indian market in 2026. This new model, codenamed Bc4i, is set to rival popular vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and the Toyota Taisor. Based on the Bayon sold overseas, this crossover will be positioned below the Creta and alongside the Venue, providing Hyundai with a competitive edge in the SUV and crossover segment.
The upcoming Hyundai crossover will draw its design and engineering inspiration from the Bayon, a model currently available in international markets. Built on the new-gen i20 platform, the Bc4i promises to combine the versatility of a crossover with the sleek design elements of the i20, much like how the Fronx relates to the Baleno.

Hyundai’s New Crossover Positioning and Pricing

Positioned in the core of the Indian passenger vehicle market, the new crossover will be priced in the Rs 10 lakh-15 lakh range. The high level of parts sharing between the i20 and the Bayon will help Hyundai keep costs competitive.
